Administrative Assistant
Part time: 22 hours per week
Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our growing team!
Based in Busby, to the south of Glasgow, Riverside Music College offers a range of innovative industry-leading commercial, educational and community-led creative arts services.
Our support staff play a critical part in delivering excellent service to our students and commercial clients and help to ensure the smooth running of our day to day operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience and administrative skills, enabling them to support our operations efficiently.
Duties
• Provide administrative support to various departments as needed
• Check and process student records, including data validation, input and filing
• Deal with incoming/outgoing communications
• Undertake student recruitment tasks including registering course applications and booking interviews
• Book customer appointments
• Update and maintain booking system
• Utilise Microsoft Office for document creation, spreadsheets, and presentations
• Support scheduling and calendar management for team members
• Minute meetings as directed
• Prepare reports as directed
• Maintain and organise files, documents, and records
• Perform general data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Assisting with setting up technical equipment used in the delivery of academic classes
• Carry out general clerical duties such as typing, filing, and photocopying
Experience
• Proven office experience with a strong emphasis on administrative functions
• Proficient computer skills with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
• Previous experience working in education and student recruitment environment desirable
