Crynodeb
1. Providing assessment and brief intervention to patients in the acute hospital, contributing to a smooth and early discharge and /or prevents an admission to a mental health unit.2. Improve the experience of patients who receive care in the acute hospital.3. Take a lead in linking with the acute hospital multi-disciplinary team and the relevant mental health adult and older people Occupational Therapy teams in Tower Hamlets.4. Provide an occupational therapy perspective to the multi-disciplinary team regarding assessment, intervention, management and discharge planning.5. Provide specialist OT advice and support about the management and treatment of patients to acute hospital staff.6. Support the Head OTs in the development of clinical and professional practice within the OT service.7. Communicate across organisations using techniques such as negotiation, motivation and persuasion to ensure the role is effectively carried out
