Are you ready to be the difference in a child’s day, every day?
Could your skills and compassion help unlock the potential of pupils with autism?
If so, Gladstone Primary Academy would love to hear from you!
Your role:
As our new ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of a nurturing, inclusive environment where your skills will directly shape the daily experiences of pupils with autism. You’ll work closely with our SENDCo and Explorers Class Teacher to deliver personalised support that helps children access learning, build independence, and feel safe and understood.
You already bring experience working with children with ASD, and you understand the importance of communication tools like PECS, TEACCH, and visual schedules. You’re confident adapting activities, managing behaviour positively, and celebrating every small step forward. You hold a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or HLTA status, and you’re ready to be part of a team that values your insight and initiative.
Fluency Duty: As this role involves direct interaction with the public, it is essential that the candidate meets the Fluency Duty requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016. The successful candidate must demonstrate fluency in English to ensure effective communication with our staff, parents and pupils.
About us:
