Summary
Network Support Transport Manager
Northampton, Middleton & Kettering.
£40-£50K
Full time perm position
The Transport Manager will manage the day-to-day transport operation, provide effective management of resources.
Your role will involve working and aligning with a team of managers, supervisors, and drivers, and implementing strategies to enhance operational performance, fully adhere to all legal compliance requirements, Safety and customer satisfaction as aligned to the company’s strategic 4 pillars.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience of managing financial P&L’s and driving financial performance and accountability through teams.
• Experience using a broad range of industry leading Transport Management Systems and other support systems such as Maintenance, Planning and Tachograph applications.
• Experience of managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of managing people effectively.
• National CPC holder
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Experience of managing in a large site-based multi customer transport operation and delivering innovation within the operation for the wider benefit of the business (desirable)
• Experience of central transport functions and understanding the role and support given to local site teams (desirable)
Experience of a culture of continuous incremental improvements. Examples of significant process and procedural improvements will be sought (desirable).
