Job Scope:

We are seeking an Expert with Lived Experience (Learning Disability) Co-Trainer to join us at Catalyst Care Group. As an Expert with Lived Experience (Learning Disability) Co-Trainer, you will help deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability to health and social care staff. Using your personal experiences, you will support professionals to provide more person-centred, empathetic, and effective care through the Oliver McGowan training framework.
The Expert with Lived Experience (Learning Disability) Co-Trainer will work alongside a supportive training team to deliver engaging sessions, respond to staff questions, and ensure the training is meaningful, inclusive, and respectful. You will co-deliver Oliver McGowan sessions in person, helping staff understand the real-life impact of learning disabilities and how to apply best practice in their work.


Do you have?
• Lived experience of a learning disability
• Confidence speaking in front of small to medium groups
• Good listening and communication skills
• Ability to share personal experiences in a clear and engaging way
• Reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for each session
• Ability to work collaboratively with the training team
• Respect for confidentiality and following data protection rules
• Self-employed / LTD status required.
