Business Development Director - Financial Services (UK)

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire (Head Office, with UK travel)

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Director to lead sales efforts within the UK Financial Services sector. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader to shape growth strategies, win strategic accounts, and build high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Business Development Managers and Executives.

- Set clear performance goals and foster continuous improvement.

- Drive a culture of collaboration, excellence, and customer-centric thinking.

Business Development:

- Personally own and develop key sales opportunities within Financial Services.

- Create and execute sector-specific sales strategies.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver compelling proposals.

Customer Success & Communication:

- Ensure smooth transitions from sale to delivery.

- Proactively grow existing accounts and identify upsell opportunities.

- Monitor customer satisfaction and drive solution adoption.

Industry & Product Expertise:

- Maintain strong knowledge of cloud-based CX/CCaaS solutions and industry trends.

- Present ROI-focused value propositions to senior decision-makers.

- Support and mentor the sales team in developing product expertise.

About You:

- Bachelor's degree, 2:1 or above, solid educational background, and industry experience.

- Extensive business development or enterprise sales experience, ideally in SaaS or cloud services.

- Proven success meeting/exceeding revenue targets.

- Skilled in influencing and negotiating with C-level stakeholders.

- Experience managing high-performing sales teams.

- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes.

- Background in Financial Services or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
