The main responsibilities of the Nursing Associate are: Being an accountable professional Promoting health and preventing ill health Provide and monitor care Perform a range of nursing procedures as described in the Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates (NMC 2018) and as determined by the needs of those being caring for. This may include venepuncture, ECG recording, measuring and interpreting blood glucose levels recording and interpreting vital signs continence care bowel and bladder care pressure area care and skin integrity wound care nutrition and hydration foot care Undertake further training as required to extend scope of practice and to expand knowledge, skills and ability to care for patients needs, whilst remaining within the boundaries of the organisations policies and protocols Work within a Team, and in accordance to Trust Values and behaviours. Improve Safety and Quality of care Contribute to Integrated care
