Crynodeb
As an Immunisation Assistant, you will be part of a countywide service delivering vaccinations to school-aged children in line with the national programme, including Influenza, HPV, MMR, Meningococcal ACWY, and the Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio booster. You will: Work alongside immunisation nurses, practitioners, and admin colleagues to provide outstanding care to children and families. Help cross-check class lists against consent lists, ensuring all eligible children are seen and recorded. Assist with difficult conversations in a sensitive and professional manner, escalating issues where necessary. Support colleagues in preparing clinics, maintaining equipment and paperwork, and ensuring infection control measures are followed. Be flexible in working across Somerset to meet service needs, with some requirement for evening, weekend, and school holiday clinics.
