ABOUT THE ROLE
Mentor and support the People Officer, helping them grow in confidence and capability across all areas of People and Culture.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, change management, and People strategy.
Lead on complex HR matters including restructures, TUPE, and performance management, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
Use workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
Design and deliver impactful People initiatives and training that strengthen leadership, engagement, and retention.
Champion a positive, high-performing workplace culture that supports staff to deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people, and families.
Regular travel to services in Wiltshire, Birmingham, Surrey and Kent.
ABOUT YOU
CIPD-qualified (or equivalent), with a strong foundation in HR practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Experienced in leading and mentoring, with a confident, coaching-led approach to partnering with key stakeholders.
Skilled in managing complex HR matters including TUPE, restructures, and performance management.
Strong strategic thinker with the ability to align People initiatives to organisational goals and drive cultural and operational improvements.
Excellent communicator and relationship-builder, able to influence at all levels and foster collaborative partnerships.
Resilient, adaptable, and highly organised, with strong analytical skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
