Location: York
Salary: £13.32
Hours: [Full-time / Part-time / Shift work]

Are you ready to change lives and be part of something truly meaningful?

We're looking for dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Support Workers to join our team at a homeless hostel supporting individuals on their journey through substance misuse recovery and beyond.

About the Role:

This isn't just a job - it's a chance to make a difference every single day.

You'll be supporting individuals facing homelessness and addiction, helping them to:

  • Stabilise their living situation

  • Access recovery and treatment services

  • Rebuild confidence and independence

  • Move toward long-term accommodation and a brighter future

You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred support that empowers residents to take control of their lives.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in support work, care, or homelessness services (but passion and empathy matter most)

  • Understanding of substance misuse and trauma-informed care

  • Strong communication and boundaries

  • Resilience, reliability, and the ability to think on your feet

  • A non-judgemental, down-to-earth attitude

✨ What We Offer:
  • A supportive team environment that values your voice

  • Training and development opportunities

  • Real chances to grow in the homelessness and recovery sector

  • Shift patterns that support work-life balance

  • The chance to be part of a service that's literally changing lives every day

Ready to Join Us?

If you're someone who believes everyone deserves a second chance, and you want to be that helping hand, we want to hear from you.

Apply now and help someone take their first steps out of homelessness and into hope.
