WORKING HOURS: Flexible Working Days / 12 Hour Day Shift (Double up) / 10 Hour Waking Night Shift (exact days / and shift times will be discussed during the interview stage)

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker / Carer / Care Worker to provide essential support to a male service user who has a brain injury. This role is perfect for someone with a kind and caring nature who is passionate about making a real difference in someone's life. Your main goal will be to provide supportive care and help the service user achieve his rehabilitation goals.
Working as the Support Worker / Carer / Care Worker you’ll be a key part of the service user’s support network. You'll be instrumental in promoting his independence and well-being.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient and empathetic approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Experience in brain injury rehabilitation is a bonus, but we welcome applicants with a strong care background who are eager to learn and grow.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the Support Worker / Carer / Care Worker you will have the following skills and experience:
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in the health and social care sector
• A valid UK Driving License is required
• Proficiency in moving and handling techniques
• Experience in rehabilitation is essential
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Pet-friendly and comfortable working in a home with animals
• A basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
Personal Attributes and Professional Qualities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong IT skills, including the ability to use various digital platforms
• The ability to work independently within a client's home
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals on a daily basis
• Committed to a person-centred approach to care
• Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling is necessary
• A genuine willingness to learn and the ability to adapt and take on feedback
• A creative and proactive mindset with the ability to "think outside the box" to find solutions
Desirable Skills:
• Experience providing care to individuals within a community or home-based setting
• Willingness to participate in support worker meetings
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in person-centred training
Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment.
