An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technician in Carpentry within the Construction department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based at the across campuses.

Responsibilities include:

To assist in the supervision and training of learners in conjunction with the lecturer and assessor.
To be actively involved in all timetabled practical sessions within the working hours of the contract providing support for staff with resources and equipment to enable these sessions to run effectively.
To maintain procedures for safe efficient and effective operation of the Faculty facilities.
To assist lecturing staff in the preparation of materials and equipment for student activities.
To ensure that adequate supplies of materials, equipment and tools etc are available when and where required.
To dismantle students, work and salvage materials for future use.
To keep a regular check on tools, equipment etc and to assist lecturing staff in ensuring general security within the department.
To carry out general routine inspection maintenance.
Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
