We are looking for someone to perform a Facilities Assistant role at Our Lady & St Patrick's College, BT5 7DL. This role will involve performing maintenance tasks and making reactive repairs.
The main tasks and responsibilities of this role will be to perform, non-intrusive planned maintenance tasks, make small reactive repairs as directed, prioritise work according to building needs, escort service partners around the facility, and assist cleaning teams where required. Previous experience of working with machinery (MEWP, Floor Scrubbers etc), engineering knowledge and knowledge of Building Management Systems will be beneficial for this.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate and delegate at all levels, have a good basic education, including good written and spoken English, basic mathematical skills and have basic computer skills. The candidate should be team player with a flexible and adaptable approach and have a good comprehension of any company and legislative Health and Safety, environmental impacts and risk assessment procedures.
It's essential that the candidate is committed to delivering excellent customer service, as well as being able to work under strict timeframes. This role also requires the candidate to be flexible regarding work hours. They will be required to work the shift pattern as deemed suitable to meet contract requirements and complete overtime to cover leave/absence at standard rate.
