The role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Officer for a temporary 4-month contract for an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing finance team during a critical period.
You will play a key role in supporting audit-related work around fixed assets and leases, ensuring that all relevant information is accurate, compliant with statutory requirements, and available to auditors in a timely manner.
In addition, you will support the reconciliation of key control accounts, helping to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial data.
What the client is looking for:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Demonstrable post-qualification experience - at least 3 years
Prior experience in a local government finance environment is highly desirable
Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
Proven track record of conscientious application and technical reliability
Ability to plan and prioritise competing workload demands and work to tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
