Programmes Manager (Tameside)

This role will support our strategic ambition to ‘strengthen social infrastructure for connected communities’.
You will lead on designing, implementing and delivering a range of projects and programmes that support us to drive this strategic ambition and further our charitable aims, working with a range of funders, partners, members, and stakeholders.
Working with the Tameside Director, you will build relationships with public sector senior leaders and facilitate the involvement of our Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) members in a range of projects and programmes.
You will also work with the Tameside Director to identify potential opportunities and develop these opportunities into new projects and programmes.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who…

Is experienced at programme and project management and can manage and deliver activity against an outcome framework and project plan, assuring we achieve a high quality of service and performance to agreed timeframes
Is driven by social justice and has an in-depth understanding of the VCFSE, and the role of local infrastructure organisations
Has great interpersonal skills and can foster and maintain effective relationships internally and externally
Is an experienced line manager who can coach people to reach their full potential
Is an excellent communicator in person; in writing and effective in producing reports and presentations to a wide variety of audiences
Is outcomes driven and able to flex and prioritise to meet agreed commitments.

Salary: £39,862 - £42,839 per annum

NJC: Grade PO2 SP 29 to 32

Hours: 36 per week (full time)

Length of contract: Permanent, subject to funding

Location: Tameside Borough, Hybrid – working at our office and in communities in Tameside with some home working
