Help Young People Take Their First Steps to IndependenceWe're recruiting passionate Support Workers to guide young people (16+) as they transition out of care and into independent living. You'll be supporting them in their own flats, helping build confidence, life skills, and a sense of self-sufficiency.
What You'll Be Doing-
Prompting with daily tasks: cooking, cleaning, laundry, filling in forms

Encouraging independence and routine

Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience

Promoting safe medication habits (where needed)

Handling verbal challenges and emotional behaviours with care

Lone working-but always part of a supportive team
✅ 1+ year experience supporting young people ✅ Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People ✅ DBS on the Update Service (preferred) ✅ Energy, compassion, and a "can do" attitude ✅ Confidence, resilience, and strong communication skills ✅ No sponsorship available
About the ServiceThis is a highly person-centred service supporting care leavers as they prepare for full independence. The team is caring, committed, and dedicated to helping each young person thrive. Most placements last 6-12 months, with the goal of moving into unsupported tenancies.
