Hourly Rate: £13.06 per hour

Salary: £25196.44 per annum

Contract Duration: Temporary until 1st October 2027

Role Purpose

Join One of Scotland’s Most Technically Advanced Fleet Departments! Scottish Borders Council is recruiting for an Apprentice Mechanic to join one of our state-of-the-art workshops in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

This is not your average apprenticeship. You’ll be part of one of the most advanced fleet operations in Scotland, equipped with the latest diagnostic technology and cutting-edge fleet management software. Our team maintains and services a vast range of vehicles, plant and equipment, supporting every department of SBC from heavy goods vehicles to specialised plant and machinery.

5 SQA Standard Grades or equivalent at National 5 or above
