Brightwork are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a respected food manufacturing business in Lanark for a hands-on L&D Trainer.

We’re working with a well-established, values-led food manufacturing business in the Lanarkshire area to find an experienced Learning & Development Trainer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company with a genuine commitment to quality, people, and community.
About the Role
As L&D Trainer, you’ll be responsible for:
• Designing and delivering engaging training sessions across the business, from onboarding to professional development
• Creating and managing blended learning programmes (including e-learning content)
• Collaborating with managers to identify training needs and skill gaps
• Ensuring all compliance and mandatory training is completed and well-documented
• Using technology, including an LMS, to enhance learning access and track progress
• Promoting a positive learning culture that supports employee growth and retention
This is a hands-on, on-site role, working directly with employees in a production environment. Some flexibility is required for occasional training during evenings or weekends.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
• Proven experience in an L&D role, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or operational environments
• Strong knowledge of the learning cycle and training best practices
• Experience using Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging staff at all levels
• A proactive, organised, and values-driven approach to their work
