Brightwork are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a respected food manufacturing business in Lanark for a hands-on L&D Trainer.

Are you passionate about designing impactful learning experiences and driving a culture of continuous development?

We’re working with a well-established, values-led food manufacturing business in the Lanarkshire area to find an experienced Learning & Development Trainer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company with a genuine commitment to quality, people, and community.

About the Role

As L&D Trainer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Designing and delivering engaging training sessions across the business, from onboarding to professional development
• Creating and managing blended learning programmes (including e-learning content)
• Collaborating with managers to identify training needs and skill gaps
• Ensuring all compliance and mandatory training is completed and well-documented
• Using technology, including an LMS, to enhance learning access and track progress
• Promoting a positive learning culture that supports employee growth and retention

This is a hands-on, on-site role, working directly with employees in a production environment. Some flexibility is required for occasional training during evenings or weekends.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Proven experience in an L&D role, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or operational environments
• Strong knowledge of the learning cycle and training best practices
• Experience using Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging staff at all levels
• A proactive, organised, and values-driven approach to their work

Why Apply?

• Join a business with a long-standing reputation for quality and community impact
• Be part of a people-focused culture that genuinely values development
• Access a wide range of employee benefits, including profit share, wellbeing support, and volunteering days

Interested?

If you’re ready to take the next step in your L&D career and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
