Summary
To ensure that regulatory requirements are met across the services of responsibility. To take full responsibility for the management of the service/s and to provide the highest quality of care and support to the people we support. To work with the delivery team and Quality, Compliance and Innovation Team to ensure the services are rated good or outstanding or equivalent depending on the regulator. To support in the organic growth of the service. Main Duties 1. To oversee the day to day running of the services you are allocated to, this includes: Ensure the rotas are completed well in advance and the appropriate blend of requirements are matched to the rota to ensure we meet all of the people we support needs Ensure that rotas are completed in line with contractual arrangements Ensure you monitor the quality of records by using sampling methods Ensure accident/incident records investigated and any lessons learnt are embedded into practice Ensure safeguarding records are investigated and all appropriate sign off is given Implement and monitor operating systems in accordance with policies and procedures and ensure these are being audited on a regular basis Complete regular finance audits to ensure that the people we supports money is being managed in accordance with their care plans. To ensure that the service is compliant with regulation and the placing bodies requirements To undertake referral assessments and mobilise new contracts Job Description & Person Specification Page 2 of 7 Clinical Deputy Manager To ensure that keyworkers are allocated to the people we support and that the arrangements are working for the people we support To ensure that the team work with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring that the people we support have access to the best support that meets their needs To ensure that all appropriate health and safety arrangements are in place 2. To support our delivery teams Provide direct supervision to support staff and team leaders Provide onsite coaching and mentoring of staff teams Ensure that you work in a way that supports the wellbeing of the staff team Lead staff meetings Identify staff training needs and plan to meet these in conjunction with the team leader and area manager Ensure staff personal development is ongoing to meet the needs of the people we support 3. To contribute to the development of the services Promote and support inclusion throughout the service, identifying and discussing employment and leisure opportunities in the community To monitor KPIs for the people we support to ensure that each of the people we support are active citizens in their community To undertake an annual review for all the people we support To induct new staff into systems, policies and procedures Review the annual service improvement plan monthly and to annually develop plans for the coming two years Ensure that you model the values of Shaftesbury 4. To maintain effective Communication Develop and maintain effective communication systems within the service. Ensure that key organisational messages are cascaded to the delivery teams Ensure you communicate to the Area Manager Ensure effective communication with families and support partners Ensure relationships are developed and maintained with health and social care professionals Ensure people we support and family forums are embedded into our development plans 5. Additional duties Clinical Deputy Manager will be required to participate in local on call and sleepover arrangements where service needs dictate Undertake other duties as required Promote the organisation in a positive manner
