Crynodeb

The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers to work with their client in Gateshead. Our client needs to expand their transport department to ensure they are able to make outbound deliveries of packaging products to set locations in the UK.

The role:

  • You will be required to do Trunk runs to set Locations around England.
  • Experience is desired as this job role needs speedy, efficient and accurate delivery to customers at set times.
  • This is a customer facing role, so you must be friendly and professional as you will be representing both the Client and The Best Connection
  • You will be required to attend a induction and carry out a driving assessment.

The candidate:

  • Must have a clean (C+E) UK driving licence.
  • Must have one year of commercial driving experience in a Class 1 vehicle.
  • Smart appearance and positive attitude as this role is customer facing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Hours of work:

  • Start times can vary depending on shifts - can be early morning, late morning etc.
  • Shifts are offered on an ad hoc basis, but there is plenty of work available for suitable candidates.

Pay Rates

  • £15.75 per hour (PAYE) - Monday to Friday
  • £18.75 per hour (PAYE) - Saturday
  • £19.75 per hour (PAYE) - Sunday and Bank Holiday
