Applications are invited for FY2 LAS position based at Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust covering gap from 03/12/2025 to 31/03/2026 in Trauma and Orthopaedics department.

You will receive clinical supervision to protect patient safety and have access to educational opportunities within the Trust, including attendance at teaching sessions.

This will not be an approved training post, nor linked to the Foundation School, e-Portfolio will be available, you will not be entitled to remedial training .

Applicants holding full GMC Registration with a licence to practice only are eligible to apply.

You will need to evidence equivalent clinical training of having completed F1 and F2 competency.





Participating in the daily consultant ward rounds and undertaking responsibility for the investigation, management and discharge planning of inpatients, including necessary liaison with tertiary centres and community services.

Attending and managing patients in outpatient clinics under supervision.





Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex. The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.



The successful candidates will work with the Consultants, Registrars, FY1-2 and other staff including participating in the daily ward rounds.

There will be a full shift, and the rota is EWTD compliant. The post holders will be allocated an Educational and Clinical Supervisor at the beginning of the year. There will be opportunities for educational progression and these can be discussed with the Supervisors.
