The Security and Logistics Officer is responsible for the security, safety and welfare of occupiers, visitors and assets at one of our commercial skyscrapers in London. It stands 230 meters tall including its 28-metre mast making it the second tallest building in the City of London.The Security and Logistics Officer will protect these by maintaining a vigilant, pro-active security presence to minimise security risks to people and property. The Security and Logistics Officer will need to be able to spend reasonable periods of time during a 12-hour shift both on patrol, front of house, standing on post, loading bay duties, post room duties and waste processing duties.Information:Position: Response Security and Logistics OfficerLocation: 110 BishopsgatePay Rate: £15.28 per hourHours: Average 42 hours per week Shifts: Various Shifts - Days, Nights & WeekendsJob Requirements:SIA Licence RequiredCorporate Security experience idealExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCustomer focused, with a strong knowledge of customer service skillsDemonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-taskingStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to work on own initiativeTeam player, who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve service deliveryAbility to think and act quickly in emergency incidents or under pressureExcellent PC / IT skillsCCTV licence & First Aid qualification will be a bonusMicrosoft Office Experience essentialBe confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific dutiesBe able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requestedThe role-holder will develop operational excellence and best practice, optimising our service and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. This is an active and visible role requiring strong communication competence in addition to procedural knowledge and adherence. Customer, occupier & service provider interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.Key Responsibilities:Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service deliveryEnsure full understanding of the emergency proceduresEnsure a full understanding of the assignment instructionsEnsure their post is correctly manned at specific times. This includes being on post at the latest, the start time of your shiftEnsure SIA licence is always on your person and on displayReport any issues or incidents to the Duty Security Manager, Logistics Manager, CCTV Controller or Security ManagerRespond to all incidents in line with policies and proceduresTo carry out the various site patrols as per the patrol scheduleTo carry out any additional patrols as instructed by managementReport any discrepancies/incidents whilst on patrol to the security control roomCarry out FOH duties and cover the FOH Security Officer for any absenceControl access and egress at Front of House or Back of HouseManage a polite and effective meeting and greet service to all staff and visitors, whilst strictly observing access control proceduresEnsure those who should not be granted access to the building are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the buildingCarry out ID checks in line with instructions issuedProvide tenants and visitors to the building with helpful advice, guidance and information. And if not able to do so, direct to the correct personnel who can assistRespond as per the policies and procedures in all emergency incidents and evacuationsRespond to these in a calm and professional manner.
