The service is dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with complex needs, including physical disabilities and communication support requirements.
We are recruiting *Female Support Practitioners to join our friendly dedicated team offering both full time (37 hours) and part time hours (23 hours).
As a key team member, you will provide 1:1 support to individuals, assisting them in their daily lives and encouraging them to achieve personal goals both at home and in the community. Building trusting relationships is essential for success in this role.
Your responsibilities will include:
>Supporting personal care, household tasks, medication administration, meal preparation, and financial management.
>Providing companionship and fostering meaningful interactions.
>Promoting independence and individuality, aligned with each person’s Support Plan.
>Accurately recording daily activities and maintaining detailed records.
>Collaborating with team members, families, and individuals to ensure clear communication and consistent care.
What's the Shift Pattern?
Our Blantyre service provides 24/7 support, so shifts include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight.
This is a lone-working role, with a rota that includes:
>Early shifts – typically between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM
>Late shifts – usually between 2:30 PM and 10:00 PM
>Wakened night shifts – from 9:45 PM to 7:45 AM
>Longer day shifts – available between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM
Your rota will be planned in advance, with a mix of shift patterns across the week.
*Sometimes the people we support need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is an occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
