Advocacy Clerking plays a crucial role in the effective management of cases dealt with by the CPS, primarily in the Crown Court.
As an Advocacy Clerking Manager, you lead and support a small team of clerking assistants within the Crown Advocacy Unit (CAU), ensuring the team is in line with the CPS Advocacy Strategy. Your role involves overseeing the team day-to-day, their performance, and wellbeing.
Reporting to the B2 manager, you are responsible for fostering a positive team environment and ensuring effective clerking. A key part of your role is to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including chambers’ clerks and Crown Court listings teams, ensuring regular engagement and communication.
