We are seeking a reliable, keen and hardworking individual who demonstrates a good natural rapport with children to oversee the day to day running of one of our clubs.
**You must be 17 years or above to be included in ratio**
You will be based at any of our 3 clubs, Oakridge, Winklebury and Kempshott.
Level 2/3 in a childcare qualification and childcare experience is desired.
Full training will be given and must be willing to undertake a relevant course.
Hours 3.15-6pm, Monday-Friday Term time only. Holiday club hours are available if desired.
The role of the Play Leader is to:
* collect children from school and escort them safely to club
* prepare a light tea
* set up the room with relevant play activities
* follow registration procedures
* liaise with school staff, parents and other professionals forming good, strong relationships
* direct and oversee other staff members ensuring they follow policies and procedures
* follow all policies and procedures and demonstrate a strong work ethic
* to keep confidential information within the club setting
* to follow Safeguarding procedures as detailed in the policy to the highest standard
* to administer first aid as needed appropriately
* to provide children with a safe, high quality and caring setting
* planning and preparing appropriate play opportunities
* listening and responding to any queries or concerns from all within the setting and dealing with appropriately.
Training and guidance will be given throughout employment.
All successful applicants will be subject to a clear Enhanced DBS certificate and satisfactory references.
