What skills and experience we're looking for

Carr Junior School are seeking to recruit an Admin Assistant to join our busy but very friendly admin team. As a member of the admin team you will be one of the first people that visitors to our school come into contact with, therefore we are looking for someone who is friendly and welcoming, whilst being professional at all times.

You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including staff, pupils, parents/carers and visitors. You will have experience of working in an administrative role and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Although experience of working in a school is desirable, what is more important is your genuine passion for working in a child-centred environment, ensuring pupils’ needs are always put first.

The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.

Further details about our school can be found on our website https://www.carrjunior.co.uk/

A full job description, person specification and application form can be found on the Trust website https://excellearningtrust.org.uk/careers/

Please email applications to recruitment@elt.org.uk marked for the attention of Laura Winston.

Excel Learning Trust reserves the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at midnight either on the advertised closing date, or at the point the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early. Applicants will be invited for interview once suitable applications are received, therefore early applications are strongly encouraged and advised.

What the school offers its staff

In return, we can offer a supportive working environment, with colleagues who care deeply, are experts in their fields and who are passionate about what they do. We also offer a range of staff benefits, and further details regarding our benefits and information about our Trust can be found on our website.

Commitment to safeguarding

Excel Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are made in accordance with safer recruitment practices and the statutory guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education. Online checks will be carried out on all shortlisted candidates, and all appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and checks regarding suitability to work with children. This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.
