Oatlands Park Hotel is located on the historic site of a Royal Tudor Palace built by King Henry VIII. We are hiring for an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager!

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and you should have a good knowledge about wines, spirits and cocktails.

Oatlands Park Hotel is currently on a drive to set the standards of excellence in the luxury sector of the hotel and hospitality industry, one of Surrey's most dynamic and successful industries. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will report to the Food & Beverage Manager. You will be responsible for effective management of the bar and maintain high service standards while maximising sales by leading and motivating the bar team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be responsible for providing customers with prompt, professional and efficient service.
- You will ensure immaculate personal presentation of all service staff, adhering to company dress code.
- Ensure customer billing is correct and cash handling procedures are adhered to.
- You will maintain full and comprehensive knowledge of the menu and specials; you should be able to advise customers and service staff on all food and beverage offered.
- You are responsible for all hotel bars.
- You will assist other departments as required.
- You will achieve targets and objectives met.
- You will ensure the bar is set up for service, monitoring and supporting waiting staff.
- You will ensure the bar runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of service.
- You will deal efficiently with customer complaints and operational issues.
- Monitor staff sickness, absence and time-keeping in accordance with company rules and procedures.
- Discipline employees in line with the company discipline procedure in partnership with HR.
- Induction of new employees.
- You will maintain high morale by recognising and rewarding outstanding performance and service standards.
- You will plan and manage staff rotas, overtime and holiday.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Hospitality qualification or be working towards one (Desirable, but not necessarily required).
- You should have a GCSE Grade C (or above) in English or Maths.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
