Learning Support Assistant
To commence ASAP
32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per annumWe are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning and Additional Needs Specialist Centre, which provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students requiring tailored support. Thames Ditton Junior School is a popular 3 form entry Junior School located on the borders of south west London, with 360 pupils from Year 3 to 6, and is part of the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership. We also have a specialist Learning and Additional Needs (LAN) provision within the school providing places for 16 children with moderate learning, and/or speech and language, difficulties. As a school, we pride ourselves on our inclusive culture and nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity and support to succeed. The ideal candidate will be a confident, resilient and passionate person and somebody who demonstrates high expectations. A flexible and resilient attitude to challenge is required with a commitment to providing irresistible learning opportunities which support the education of the whole child. Good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential, as well as a love of learning and the desire to support our children achieve the best they can. Whilst a relevant qualification and/or previous experience working with children is desirable, training will be given for the right person new to learning support. This is an exciting time to join the school, and our growing Trust, helping to shape a new era of development and growth so that all children are able to reach their full potential.
