The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work at our Castle Batch Primary School Academy. We require an enthusiastic individual who would like to support children initially in our Key Stage 1 Speech & Language Base. A knowledge and experience of Speech & Language Disorders and communication differences is desirable.
As part of this role, you will;
Work under the direction of the class teacher to ensure learning targets are achieved and the child is supported to achieve their best in the school environment
Promote wellbeing by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop their self-reliance and self-esteem and independence.
The successful candidate will have;
Excellent and effective communication skills
A good standard of education/ three or more GCSEs including maths and English at Grade C minimum or L2 literacy and numeracy
Some experience of working with children with Social Communication and interaction needs
Some experience of working with children with ASD and sensory needs
An ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the children

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
