Full-Time Science & Maths Teacher - Lewisham
£180-£270 per day Immediate Start Full Academic Year
We're recruiting for a confident and experienced qualified teacher to join a specialist SEN provision in Lewisham. This is a full-time role, five days per week, starting immediately and continuing until the end of the academic year.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher with strong subject knowledge in Science and Maths, and a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs.
Role Overview:
- Deliver Science (to Entry Level) and Maths (up to GCSE) across KS3 and KS4
- Take pastoral responsibility for a KS4 form group of 10 Year 10 pupils
- Cover additional sessions in ASDAN, PSHE, and similar subjects
- Responsible for your own planning and curriculum delivery
- Supported by 1-2 experienced TAs in each class
Learner Profile:
Pupils present with a range of special educational needs, including:
- Autism spectrum conditions
- Speech, language and communication difficulties
- Emotional and behavioural challenges
This role suits a teacher with a calm, structured approach and the ability to build trust and consistency in the classroom.
To Be Successful, You Will Need:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Proven UK-based SEN teaching experience, ideally within KS3 and KS4
- A current DBS registered on the Update Service
- Strong subject knowledge in Science and Maths
- Native-level fluency in English - clear and confident communication is essentia
