Summary

Are you a compassionate and dedicated support worker with a genuine passion for working with children and young people? We are looking for a behavioural support worker to join the team at a specialist school in Slough, supporting students with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with teachers and therapists to help students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and re-engage with education. Key Responsibilities

- Support class teachers in developing and delivering individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Motivate and encourage students to engage with learning, even when they are experiencing dysregulated emotions or challenging behaviours
- Work alongside teachers and therapists to identify barriers and put strategies in place to support progress
- Provide practical emotional and educational support that promotes self-confidence, resilience, and motivation to learn
- Use positive behaviour strategies to help students regulate their emotions in a safe and constructive way
- Remain calm under pressure and help maintain a safe, supportive learning environment


- Experience working with vulnerable young people in a support or mentor role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
- An enhanced DBS check and up-to-date safeguarding training


- £96 - £110.70 per day (PAYE + holiday pay)
