Crynodeb
To autonomously assess and diagnose patients with a diverse range of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic or rheumatology conditions, using appropriate assessment/diagnostic techniques, skills and tools To adopt a problem solving approach, engaging patients and carers in their treatment plan, negotiating on agreed outcomes, gaining consent and educating users on self-care. To evaluate and review treatment outcomes to facilitate discharge of patients. To deliver care in a range of settings including primary sites, clinics, GP surgeries and acute hospital as required. To work with members of the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless delivery of care, provide advice and education within this forum, acting as an expert in your own professional field. To continually review patients progress and refer as necessary to other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate care is provided. To plan and organise a caseload and implement effective administration in accordance with department guidelines on caseload management. To participate in the services Clinical Governance initiatives and thedevelopment and implementation of standards, guidelines and protocols.
