About the role
The Change Programme Lead (Operational Services) role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and innovative transformation across frontline services, ensuring efficient, responsive, and high-performing delivery for residents and stakeholders, with a clear focus on achieving better outcomes for the communities we serve.

The role leads change programs, embeds best practices and harnesses data insights to implement system improvements, working closely with operational teams, service managers and internal and external partners.

By championing smarter working, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of innovation, the postholder supports the Council's corporate priorities and iCare values, delivering cleaner, greener and more effective public services that make a real difference to residents across Huntingdonshire.

About you
The ideal candidate is a proactive and adaptable change management professional with Lean Six Sigma and project management qualifications, strong analytical and communication skills, and proven experience driving service improvements within complex operational environments.

Comfortable with data analysis, process mapping and engaging with diverse stakeholders, this person thrives on collaboration, embraces innovation and exemplifies HDC’s iCare Values to help deliver better outcomes for Huntingdonshire’s residents.

Highly organised and flexible, the candidate can manage competing priorities, travel as needed and support teams through challenging change initiatives with a clear focus on making a positive impact for the community.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.

For many of our roles (where it is possible) we are currently working remotely and anticipate in the future returning to a hybrid office model on a flexible basis. This will still include work from home and flexi-time opportunities in order to provide a good work life balance whilst still ensuring that teams benefit from in person interaction. Candidates should therefore be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
