We are looking for a clinical nurse specialist to support the continued development and implementation of our Intensive Community Support Pathway for CYP with an eating disorder within the NELFT London CYP Eating Disorder Service to support prevention of SEDU admissions.

The post holder and Pathway Lead will work alongside and manage a small team and dedicated MDT to suppprt CYP and their care givers to remain at home and avoid SEDU admission. The pathway lead will help support the delivery of care for young people with Eating Disorders to prevent TIER 4 admissions whilst offering psychological support and share clinical oversight across the service. The post holder will be responsible for assessment, treatment and outcome measurement and provide clinical supervision to staff as well as supporting clinical development within the Intensive community treatment Pathway.

The post holder will hold full NMC registration.

This post will suit clinical nurse specialist with extensive experience in eating disorders & working with CYP who present with complexity and significant levels of distress, working with the wider systems including education, social care and family/carers.

As a senior clinician and pathway lead within the service, you will bring advanced knowledge of specialist therapeutic and nursing assessment, formulation and intervention skills and specific knowledge and expertise of supporting young people with Eating Disorders.



To support the Clinical Lead to manage and develop the Intensive community Support Pathway and support the development of this new service.

You would also have a keen interest in developing innovative strategies to support young people and their families and support the ongoing development of the service to support young people to stay at home during their recovery.

To offer senior care reviews and reformulation of cases

To work alongside external agencies to support the ongoing care provisions of young people





Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941) (pro rata for part time staff).

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
