Summary
Introduction
I am 70 year old man with advanced progressive Multiple Sclerosis and am a permanent wheelchair user. I enjoy using my computer which has been adapted to enable it to be controlled by my head movement. You will be responsible for my personal care, hoisting for all transfers, preparing food and feeding and support during physio therapy sessions.
Duties
All aspects of personal care, including skin integrity, infection control. Assist with physiotherapy. Fit CPAP mask as part of bedtime routine. Support with Assisted Technology Set to allow control of computer and TV. Medication to be given mornings and evenings. Prepare food fluids and feeding. Assisting with transfers which are to be done by using a hoist.
In the event of the client being hospitalised, day/night shift to be undertaken in-situ
Hours
10 Hour night shifts (22.00 - 08.00)
6 Hour day shifts (08.30 - 14.30)
Rate: from £12.21 to be agreed
Essential Requirements
You must have a driving license and car
Training Required - Moving & Handling, CPAP, Peristeen, Medication
A Disclosure & Barring check will be required
Desired Experience
A non smoker
