About the Employer

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our small, supportive team and assist a young lady with autism and cerebral palsy with living her life to the fullest. As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in facilitate this young lady to access daily activities, support her personal care needs, and encourage independence in a warm and friendly environment. Previous experience working with individuals with autism or cerebral palsy is preferred, but not essential. A caring, patient, and flexible attitude is essential for this role. You should be reliable and enjoy working as part of a team. Additional cover may be required for sickness/holidays. This role is based in Lincoln city centre, with free parking available.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
• Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.

Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position as you will be required to administer medication.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Transport Requirement

Car driver preferred but not essential.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours per week: 32.5 hours average

Specific days/times required:

• Monday, 5pm to 7.30pm
• Thursday, 4pm - 7:30pm
• Friday, 5pm - 7.30pm
• Sunday, Alternate Sundays 9am - 7.30pm
