We are seeking a Battery Project Engineer to join our Electrification and Battery Testing team.
In this role you will be the main contact between a specific customer and the HORIBA MIRA team arranging and approving a range of abuse and development tests on customer battery systems ranging from cell level to full pack, including battery tear down (disassembly). You will be planning workloads, ensuring resources, equipment and tools are available when required. Alongside managing all documentation relating to a wide range of testing and collecting data to report to the customer which will then inform design improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Please note;
Up to 18 month contract
Up to £27 p/hr (approx. £ 45, 258p/a) based on skills and experience (inclusive of holiday pay)
This role is Inside IR35
This role will involve working outdoors in all weathers throughout the year- appropriate PPE and clothing will be provided.
A full UK drivers licence is required for this role.
Baseline security clearance will be required for this role.
37.25 hours a week - standard hours 0830 - 1630 Mon to Thurs and 0830 - 1600 Fri with a 30 mins lunch each day. Hours can be flexed - to be discussed at interview.
They may be occasional overtime/shift working available and would require flexibility within working hours.
Anticipated start dates: 29th September or 6th October 2025. Future start dates can be discussed
Assessment Centre
Interview process will involve a short 10 min MS teams interview to explore your CV and experience. If successful at MS team stage you will be invited to complete psychometrics tests. If shortlisted you will be invited to meet with us on site for a competency based interview which will include a work sample test so we can understand your technical capabilities.
