Job Advert

Torus is seeking an experienced and motivated Income Team Leader to lead one of our six income teams. You will play a key role in
managing and supporting a team of Income Officers, overseeing the collection of tenant arrears, former tenant and sundry debts. As
Team Leader, you will ensure your team delivers a high-quality, customer-focused service while meeting key performance targets.
You will provide strong leadership, coaching and support to drive performance, tackle arrears, and promote financial
sustainability for Torus and our tenants.




What you will be doing:




* Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team to maximise rent and income collection.
* Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring workloads are balanced and performance targets achieved.
* Provide guidance on income management policies, legal frameworks, arrears recovery and welfare reform.
* Represent Torus at court proceedings and ensure appropriate legal action is taken when required.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to support tenants with complex needs.
* Monitor performance using ICT systems and prepare reports and statistical data to support service delivery.
* Deputise for the Income Manager as required.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and value-for-money principles in all aspects of service delivery.




What we are looking for:




* Educated to GCSE/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
* A proven track record in income management and arrears recovery.
* Strong knowledge of welfare reform, welfare benefits, and tenancy-related legislation.
* Experience of leading and managing staff, with the ability to inspire, motivate and drive performance.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build strong relationships with staff, tenants and
stakeholders.
* The ability to work flexibly, adapt to change, and use IT systems to monitor and improve performance.
* A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement.




Interview process:




* Interviews will be held on 24th September at our Warrington office. The process will include a 10-minute presentation (with the
topic provided in advance) followed by competency-based interview questions.
