Quarry Bank Medical Centre is a friendly, well-established surgery serving the community of Quarry Bank, a semi-urban area within the borough of Dudley. The practice list size of 4500 is drawn from a population of around 13,600 local residents, giving us the unique feel of a village practice with the activity and challenge of a larger service. Our patients reflect the full spectrum of general practice needs: families with young children, a substantial working-age population, and an increasing number of older adults with multiple long-term conditions. We are supported by a committed team of GPs, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, and administrative staff, working together to provide high-quality, patient-centred care. The local community is proud of its heritage, with a strong identity and a high street centred around independent businesses. Stevens Park, the 7-hectare green space at the heart of Quarry Bank, symbolises the areas tradition of community health and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities As a GP within Quarry Bank Medical Centre, you will: Provide consultations (face-to-face, telephone, and online) across a wide variety of clinical presentations. Manage acute illness and support patients with chronic disease including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory conditions, which are particularly prevalent in the local area. Undertake home visits where necessary to support frail or housebound patients. Contribute to the achievement of QOF, local enhanced services, and wider ICB priorities. Work collaboratively with our nursing and allied health teams to ensure safe, coordinated patient care. Support preventive healthcare initiatives, from flu vaccination campaigns to health promotion in schools and community settings. Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in EMIS Web. Participate in the practice duty rota and contribute to safe triage and urgent care. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults. Why Work at Quarry Bank Medical Centre?
