We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Nursing Assistant to join the Integrated Sexual Health Team. This is a substantive post, part time, 22.5 hours per week.
Working under the supervision of qualified Nursing and Medical Staff the post holder will carry out a number of duties to enable the effective running of clinics. This will include a clinical and non-clinical tasks such as chaperoning patients during examinations and procedures, undertaking asymptomatic screening , ordering clinical supplies and entering data.
Previous experience working in sexual health would be desirable but not essential as training will be given.

To work as a support to the multidisciplinary team providing efficient and effective support to the integrated sexual health service, including schools, colleges and pharmacies across the geography of NHCT.
To provide efficient clinical, administrative and health promotion support to meet the requirements of the service.
To establish and maintain data collection and statistical data for monthly reports and funding providers.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.
We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care
