Allstaff Professional Services Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Head of HR.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR to lead our Human Resources function. This is a key leadership role, working closely with the Managing Director and the senior management team, providing strategic HR direction across the business. The role has line management responsibility for two direct reports (HR Advisor and Health and Safety Manager) and will require occasional travel to other UK sites in London and the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the HR team, managing and developing the HR Advisor.
Work closely with the Managing Director, providing HR insight and support at a strategic level.
Develop and deliver HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Oversee recruitment, retention and talent management to ensure we attract and retain the best people.
Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and company culture initiatives.
Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practice.
Manage employee relations, providing advice and support to managers on complex cases.
Oversee performance management and learning & development programmes.
Review and develop policies, procedures and HR systems to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Partner with senior leadership to support organisational growth, workforce planning and change management.
Skills & Experience Required

Proven track record in a senior HR leadership role within a manufacturing or similar industrial environment (essential).
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver at both an operational and board level.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
Commercial awareness and the ability to align HR with business priorities.
CIPD qualification (Level 7 or equivalent) desirable.
What our client offers

Salary: up to £70,000 DOE
Car allowance: £5,100
Bonus: Up to 20% based on achievement of targets
Holidays: 33 days (including bank holidays)
Pension: 3% employer / 6% employee contribution
Hours: 40 per week
Hybrid working: minimum 3 days in the office (ideally 4 days office / 1 day home)
