Personal Assistant (Job Reference: 68534/LS)
l am a retired woman and power chair user seeking two female Personal Assistants to support me in living independently and enhancing my quality of life. I live with a muscle-wasting condition that can vary in severity and often causes fatigue and pain so you must be able to adapt to fluctuating health needs
Therefore, I am looking for individuals who are understanding, adaptable, and compassionate in their approach. Kind, reliable, and respectful of personal boundaries - you will be one of two PA’s
You will provide essential support with:
Personal care and hygiene
Light household tasks and meal preparation
Accompanying me to appointments, hydrotherapy sessions, and other outings
Assisting with day-to-day tasks as needed
Supporting medication routines, experience would be desirable (training can be provided if necessary)
A full driving licence and access to a car is preferred but not essential, there will be minimal weekend work required. References and a current full DBS check is essential
• Hours: up to 10/16 hours per week (times and days to be discussed)
• Area: South Shields
• Rates of pay: £13.50
• Holidays: 5.6 weeks pro rata per annum. Bank holidays are usually honoured on a pro-rata basis (except in emergencies)
