Purpose of the Job:
As an LGV Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for performing commercial and domestic fuel deliveries using either a rigid or articulated tanker. Your role is crucial in ensuring timely and safe deliveries to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough vehicle checks at the start of each day.
Complete all necessary manual tachograph entries.
Adhere to loading requirements at the location.
Ensure deliveries are made accurately and on time.
Report any discrepancies or delays to the Transport Department.
Maintain accurate paperwork and update handheld devices.
Complete end-of-day routines on handhelds.
Knowledge:
- Full understanding of tachograph regulations and the Working Time Directive.
- Familiarity with the Highway Code and the Road Traffic Act.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards related to driving.
- Experience with rigid fuel tankers is preferred, but training will be provided.
Skills and Abilities:
- Valid UK driving licence for Class 2 HGVs.
- Valid ADR licence covering Class 3 and Tanks.
Experience:
- Previous TANKER driving experience is preferred; however, training will be provided.
