What skills and experience we're looking for

Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant Level 2

Hours: 29.5 per week / Term time only (39 weeks of the year)

We have an exciting role in our school for a Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work to support the class teacher, groups of children and individuals with special educational needs during their lessons.

Manea Community Primary School has a fantastic learning environment in which to work. This is an excellent opportunity to really develop the provision for our children and we are looking forward to working with someone who is enthusiastic, positive and motivated. Excellent English and Maths subject knowledge is essential to ensure that the needs of all children can be met and so that you are able to model what the children need to learn.

We are looking for someone who:

• is able to work as part of a team
• is flexible within the workplace and understands the need to be flexible
• is adaptable to work with individuals and groups
• has achieved at least grade C GCSE in both maths and English - essential
• holds or is currently training for at least a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification - essential
• communicates effectively with the correct use of spoken English
• is committed to our ethos of care and support for ALL children
