Salary: £55,155 - £55,155 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 22.74 per week
Clermiston Primary seeks to appoint a highly motivated experienced and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in Primary teaching, who will play a key role within our Senior Leadership Team. This post currently includes 1 day teaching and 2 non-teaching days to facilitate a varied and exciting remit that includes:
- Lead Digital Coordinator for the school
- Facilitation and oversight of P7 transition programme
- Facilitation and oversight of Wider Achievement throughout the school
- Facilitation and oversight of P7 Residential Experience
- A key role (as part of the wider SLT team) to ensure that the school's PEF plan is achieved
- Quality Assurance (as part of the wider SLT team)
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and share excellence in the following areas:
- A reflective and active approach to Learning and Teaching within Curriculum for Excellence
- Providing lead examples of very good practice in learning and teaching.
- Leading a curricular development at school, cluster, or authority level.
- Effective contribution to the wider life of the school
- The ability to work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
Clermiston Primary School is a non-denominational school which serves the Clermiston and Drumbrae area in the North West of the city and has a roll of 455 which includes 40 nursery pupils. The SLT consists of a Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, one full-time Principal Teacher, two part-time Principal Teachers and a Business Manager. The school is well resourced with technology and has excellent outdoor facilities which are well-utilised by all learners.
The working pattern for this post is Monday to Wednesday.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
