LOCATION: LIVERPOOL
HOURS: 25 HOURS PER WEEK

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Bullybusters and AIMS Schools deliver bespoke education and 1:1 intervention to anyone impacted by bullying or behaviour that may cause harm, this includes supporting those who may be seen as the person responsible for causing harm. We work in partnership with children, YP, parents, carers and professionals. Our goal is to raise awareness, share best practise, provide mediation and meaningful responses to issues when they arise to reduce the likelihood of escalation and need for crisis interventions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL BE:-
o Work with children/young people on a group and individual basis.
o Provide support and information on bullying, harmful practises and risk-taking behaviours; liaise with schools and the education authority.
o Provide support, information, advise, guidance and advocacy.
o Designing interventions/sessions that will promote positive wellbeing and support engagement.
o Reporting progress, successful strategies and safeguarding concerns.
o Carrying out risk assessments.
o Occasional attendance at multi-agency meetings.
o Keeping up to date with trends/issues affecting children and young people. being aware of current official guidance
OTHER DUTIES:-
o To deliver additional provision/group-based work with sourced funding.
o Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements including Data protection, confidentiality, child protection and adult safeguarding.
o Ensure there is robust engagement and involvement of service users re service improvements.
SUCCESS MEASURES:-
o Deliver a high-quality frontline service
o Deliver and provide effective support for all members of staff
o Remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation connected to your work (policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct)
o Contribute to annual service reviews
o Maintain effective monitoring and evaluation systems and databases
o Develop and maintain links with other agencies
o Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements including GDPR, data protection, confidentiality, child protection and adult safeguarding
GENERAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:-
o Relevant experience and/or qualifications in areas around children & young people.
o Experience and knowledge of providing support to people with multiple and complex needs.
o Experience of developing and facilitating group-based sessions.
o Knowledge and practical experience of using IT
o Good communication skills
o Resilient and robust with a positive outlook
o Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
o Commitment to quality, customer service, best practice and best value in all aspects of the organisations operation.
o Due to the geographical commitments a car driver/owner is preferable.
