Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team of care staff, working from either 7am - 3pm or 3pm -10pm. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their own home. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care, promoting independence, and maintaining the dignity of those we serve.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist clients with mobility as required.
Support individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Qualifications
Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
