Summary
EC&I Engineer
Role Overview
The EC&I Engineer will support the delivery of a mechanical and electrical (M&E) package in a nuclear environment near Reading, focusing on ensuring outsourced EC&I design meets project requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee EC&I design and build elements.
- Review and validate subcontractor drawings and documentation.
- Raise and resolve technical queries.
- Support project scheduling and delivery.
- Witness factory acceptance tests and project sign-off.
- Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Required Experience & Skills
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in regulated industries (preferably nuclear).
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle and electrical safety standards (e.g., 18th Edition, BS EN 13849).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and PLCs.
- Technical writing and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 environments.
Qualifications
- ECS Card (essential).
- Eligible for SC clearance (required).
