To ensure all medical staff have an annual appraisal and revalidation recommendations are submitted to the GMC in a timely manner. To ensure that the Appraisal database is monitored and updated on a regular basis and reflects accurately the number of appraisals undertaken. To maintain accurate records on GMC Connect in relation to Trust doctors and to ensure revalidation recommendations are directed to the Trust Responsible Officer (RO) are made prior to revalidation. To develop, organise and deliver training at appraiser and appraisee training events and ensure that trends are identified through QA feedback. To ensure that all new starters are fully informed of appraisal and revalidation requirements. To issue and collate exit reports for relevant doctors leaving the trust escalating any issues identified to the RO. To ensure that the trust Appraisal and Revalidation policy is up to date with clear guidelines available on the trusts intranet and are updated as and when necessary. To ensure that the Medical Appraisal system is up to date at all times To manage and develop the appraisal system in conjunction with the software provider, identifying development opportunities and leading change to ensuring an efficient service. To ensure all doctors have a 360 review date planned and completed within the timeframe set. To arrange and co-ordinate any ad-hoc training for doctors related to appraisal and revalidation. To coordinate and attend monthly revalidation meeting. To ensure that a QA process is completed and issues are escalated to the revalidation lead as and when appropriate and in a timely manner To act as first point of contact for all revalidation and appraisal enquiries. To produce standard and ad-hoc reports as required To maintain an up-to-date list of appraisers, ensure there is enough appraisers in post and be the lead to actively recruit new appraisers. To maintain and develop the Trusts intranet page in relation to appraisal and revalidation. Interviews will be held on Thursday 25th September
