Salary: Depends on experience
Location: Waterloo Road, London NW2 7TX
Reports to: Factory Supervisor
Rustins is a leading manufacturer of wood finishes, specialty paint and decorating sundries. We are based in north London. Our core markets are the DIY and trade decorator, which we serve with a mix of traditional and new products with the brands of Rustins and Briwax.
We seek a Paint Mixer, who will mix paint and wood finishes in batches of 50 to 700 litres. We will train you for our specific paint mixing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Liquid or chemical handling.
• Manufacturing Environment (engineering/chemical)
• Solvent blending.
• Powder weighing.
• Machine operation.
• Container cleaning.
• Filing of cans of finished products.
• Good housekeeping.
• Physically fit (lifting involved)
• Ability to understand formulations (after training)
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure we follow good health and safety practices.
Preferred Skills
• Good manual handling techniques and experience with lifting.
• Experience with moving drums and powder sacks.
• Teamwork and people management experience.
• Enthusiastic manner.
• Forklift driving.
